Take Advantage of the
Crawford & Keller Edge in Real Estate Transactions
We have a number of
advantages over other law firms to better serve our
clients. We exclusively practice real estate
law. Jim Crawford, Tasha Keller and David J. Hinkle have
a combined 46 years of experience with real estate
settlements. Tasha Keller, Jim Crawford, and Pam Hinkle are an authorized Title Insurance
Agents representing
Stewart Title & Guaranty Company. We are approved
attorney's for most all lending institutions in the
Eastern Panhandle, Maryland and Virginia, and we have
extensive experience with Conventional, VA, FHA, WVHDF,
and other loan programs.
To help facilitate
transactions, we have two offices--one in Charles Town
to serve Jefferson County, and one in Martinsburg to
serve Berkeley County. Although our normal office hours
are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., we are available by appointment to
facilitate closings during evenings and
on weekends.
State of the art office
technology means that any last minute changes in
documents can be done without delay in our offices. You
will find our offices a pleasant environment for a
closing with refreshments for all, and toys for the
kids.
Things to bring to
settlement:
(a) Sellers must provide
their social security number or a tax identification
number.
(b) Buyers must bring their
driver's license or other proof of identity (Patriot
Act) and a cashier's check or wired funds. We accept
personal checks for small sums (up to $400.00). If you
are uncertain as to the amount of money to bring to a
settlement, please use your lender’s good faith
estimate. If your cashier's check or wire is in excess
of the funds that you need to conclude the transaction,
we will give you a check for the excess funds at the
time of settlement.
